Small improvements that make a big difference

Often improving performance is seen as changing big things but these from my observation are the hardest to start and complete. In my experience working with people at the "Coal Face" they can see what needs fixed but have no power or budget to effect it. Here's a thought if communication is an issue in your workplace, implement a stand up meeting every day, this has to be driven by the people who have the decision making power and its where coal face issues are addressed and small improvements can take place. Often these changes don't take any budget but done consistently can reap big rewards. While you are doing that you will also observe that employee connection will rise as they are part of the change and they see that their opinion matters.
