Communicating expectations
Communicating what your intentions and expectations are and what you want to achieve out of any given circumstance is singly the most important thing you could do to get more engagement and productivity from your people.
Meeting regularly (not long boring meetings where nothing ever gets done) but productive time with those people who can make things happen is critical to the success of your company. Your people are all unique and will respond to instructions differently it is up to you as the leader to ensure that the appropriate instructions are given.
Often I see examples of one size fits all approach and while some people get it, others are left to find their own way, the outcome of that is reduced productivity, profitability, loss of purpose and the dilution of the full potential that your team has.
Six ideas that I would recommend as being useful.
